Perumda Dharma Jaya continues to optimize cooperation with regions producing animal raw materials in an effort to develop commercial businesses. The target is to become a center for animal protein and ensure that the supply of animal food products for Jakarta residents is met properly.

Perumda Dharma Jaya President Director, Raditya Endra Budiman said the Jakarta Provincial Government was not a producing area for animal raw materials, but a consumption area.

This condition made cooperation with regional producers very important in fulfilling animal products and also developing the commercial business of Perumda Dharma Jaya as Jakarta BUMD in the food sector.

"Because of that, it is very important for cooperation between the Jakarta Government and animal producing regions to ensure food stocks in Jakarta. The collaboration that we are doing is specifically for animal food products such as chicken, fish and beef," he expressed, Monday (14/8).

He went on to say that Perumda Dharma Jaya has collaborated with Lampung, Banten, West Java, Pati, and Blora, Malang, Bali, and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Cooperation with cattle producing regions has resulted in a total income of cattle reaching 1,748 heads in 2022. With details, Kupang NTT (994 heads), Bali (105 heads), Flores NTT (77 heads), Central Java (184 heads), Sumbawa NTB (200 heads), Lampung (125 heads), Makassar (13 heads), and Madura (50 heads).

"For 2023, until July, the total income of new cattle will reach 1,000 heads. Meanwhile, stocks of animal food products at Perumda Dharma Jaya as of July 31, 2023 were 305 tons of beef, 188 tons of chicken, 541 tons of mackerel, and 150 beef cattle," he explained.

He ensured Dharma Jaya should not be careless in carrying out partnerships with producing regions. He had to first look at the readiness of the producing regions to cooperate with the Jakarta Government.

"This readiness is seen from the infrastructure and quality standardization that must be met by the producing regions," he added.

Not only that, Perumda Dharma Jaya is also expanding cooperation in East Kalimantan, which is the location for the construction of IKN. He added, they would open a branch in the IKN area in collaboration with the local government.

"For the preparation of IKN, we have conducted a survey to identify or support the needs of IKN. It's a long term and we are still preparing," he stated.
